How does an AutoFill Recycler System Work?
The AutoFill Recycler weighs in at 3800 pounds and consists of a large grinder that can be loaded with up to 350 pounds of used polyFill chunks that you retrieve from worn out flatproofed tires.
The chunks can range up to 80 pounds each.
Once the chunks are thrown in the grinder it starts to rip and tear at the pieces to break them down.
The material is then forced through a 2800 hole screen plate to further reduce the old polyFill down to small granular size and collected in a hopper.
At the bottom of the hopper is an auger that is connected to a motor on one end and the injector barrel on the other.
The small particles are pulled into the injector barrel and packed tight until it is joined with the A/B liquid from your totes.
You supply the totes of virgin material, we supply the lines that connect to them and carry the liquid to our A/B gear pumps.
The pump pulls equal amounts of both the A and the B and mixes the two in a disturb tube or motionless mixer before it enters the injector to be mixed with small recycled particles.
The combined components are then mixed together in the last stage of the injector before they enter the Fill hose connected to the tire.
Inverter duty motors with speed control provide the different mix ratio's, delivery speeds, power the grinder, A/B pump and the injector.
At the heart of the control system is a PLC for reliable and consistent operation.

How fast is the AutoFill Recycler?
That depends on the mix ratio you select.
With the AutoFill recycler you can select 3 different ratios.
40/60 - Recycled/Virgin
This runs @ both 10 lbs./m and 18 lbs./m
60/40 - Recycled/Virgin
This runs @ both 10 lbs./m and 28 lbs./m
65/35 - Recycled/Virgin
This runs @ both 10 lbs./m and 28 lbs./m
You can Fill a 10-16.5 skid steer in approxamately 5 minutes.
Note the 'VIRGIN ONLY' selection can be set at a maximum of 11 pounds per minimum rate.

Do I have to take into consideration the DUROMETER of used chunks I throw into the grinder?
YES
If you are using a lower durometer virgin and want to provide your customers with a softer ride, then you will want to feed the grinder with a softer durometer chunks.
PLEASE NOTE: That when grinding lower durometer chunk, you may experience a drop in output of the grinder.
If you are Filling a tire for the everday, standard application, you can mix and match your chunks with different durometer chunks.
The grinder will rip and tear and kind of homogenize the different chunks into a blend that can be mixed with your virgin liquid.
Some of our customers do this and use a lower durometer virgin for a softer ride for their customers that want or need that type of performance in their flat proofed tires.

Can I Fill through a standard valve system
NO...
Large bore valve stems are the minimum size that we recommend at this time due to the particle size.
We are constantly working on ways to further reduce the particle size without increasing costs dramatically.
Ask the Sales desk (ext. 224) to provide you with information on our SideWaller product that allows you to Fill through the sidewall of the tire.
It's a great product and is really starting to catch on with our customers.
You can start the machine, Fill (4) 10-16.5 skid steer tires with 65% recycled mix, pressurize, shut down and clean the machine in about 35 minutes.
Also, did you know about a rubber pull-through (large bore valve stem) available on the market?
Call sales, we have them in stock.

What power will I need?
We offer 3 differernt power options.
1. 230 volts, 3wire, 3phase, 100 amp, 60 Hz
2. 440 volts, 3wire, 3phase, 50 amp, 60 Hz
3. 380 volts, 3wire, 3phase, 50 amp, 50 Hz
NOTE: Neutral is not required for any options.
If you're not sure what power is currently supplied, please contact a certified electrician
or your utility provider.

Are protected territories available?
PCI cannot protect a territory by selling only one machine.
By watching and listening to our current customers the AutoFill Recycler is not being used to further decimate the profit in the foam Filling business.
Instead it is a tool to help the dealer reduce labor, achieve higher more consistent percentages of recycling, eliminate the waste stream, and add dollars to your bottom line.
Why not be the first in your territory to put more profit back into your foam Filling business.

How much does it cost?
Please check with our sales staff for current price.

Once ordered, How long before installation?
Minimum is 3-4 weeks and maximum is 10-12 weeks.
The variables included below are:
1 Power required for your location
2 Location of delivery
3 Scheduling of the installer

How much can I expect to save using the AUTOFILL RECYCLER?
That depends on the cost of your liquid material and if you factor in labor costs.
A typical shop can produce one billable pound of flatproofing for less than 35 cents ( based on 65% recycled).
That even factors in 3-5 cents for the cost of the machine and some labor (based on $0.90/lb. cost for new tireFill).

Do I still use my current liquid provider?
YES...
Pathway Polymers (formerly Hyperlast) North America, Carpenter, Arnco, and MarChem's products are acceptable.
Stay tuned however, PCI is working with liquid manufactures for a custom blend to be offered in the near future.

Do I need to keep my old GRECO or LINCOLN pump?
Most of our customers keep it for a back-up or if they have customers that specifically ask for VIRGIN Fill only.
The AutoFill Recycler has a selection for virgin only, however the delivery rate is much slower than your current air driven pump.

Do I still need to clean the system with alcohol?
NO...
One of the best features of the AutoFill Recycler is that it can be cleaned and shutdown in approximately 5 minutes without the need of an alcohol flush.
It's just one of the innovative ideas that is incorporated into the AutoFill Recycler.

What is the life expectancy of the system?
It weighs 3,800 pounds, so it is heavy duty and durable, powder coated paint, so it stays looking good for years.
There are wear parts that will need replaced. But we project, with a normal preventive maintenance program
in place, you should receive 8 to 12 years before needing an over-haul or replacing the system with a newer
model.
